In September 2006
the
Certified Training Professional Course (CTP) was
hosted by HITEC. This was the first time that this
course was run in Co. Monaghan. Over the past number of
years HITEC has been awarded contracts under the
FAS Competency Development Programme (CDP) which
allows funding for approved courses for people in
employment. |

In August 2006
Allison Cooney was appointed the manager of HITEC. |

In 2005 HITEC in conjunction with the
Donegal & Tyrone Partnership carried out training
for carers in their own homes throughout Co. Cavan over
a period of twelve months. Twenty carers in all
completed a number of different courses and received
certification. |

In February 2002 business courses got
underway, with the support of
FAS - Introduction
to Computers and Introduction to E-mailing & the
Internet. Both courses ran for four weeks. |

In May 2001 HITEC received sponsorship
from local businesses. HITEC would like to take this
opportunity to express gratitude to all who contributed,
especially to
Rye
Valley Foods who contributed £15,000. |
