About HITEC
HITEC is a community-based initiative supporting the development
of Information Communications Technology (ICT) within the
home, schools, community groups and businesses.
This project is supported by
ADM/CPA under the EU Peace
II and part financed by the
Irish Government under the
National
Development Plan.

The aim of HITEC is to increase awareness and use of ICT
in Farney by:

Demonstrating how ICT can improve the education, work
and lives of those in the community of
South Monaghan.
|

Providing groups in Farney, such as early school leavers
with the opportunity to equip themselves with the skills
required for the new economy. (Farney is a collective
term for five parishes in South Co. Monaghan, bordering
the counties of Armagh, Louth, Meath and Cavan.)

Supporting disadvantaged groups in their quest to gain
employment and participate fully in today's society,
through the use of ICT.

Providing access to ICT for all the community.
